Our design challenge is a summer vacation home in the greater Mt. Baldy area in California. My main goal was to establish a very structured and linear home that contrasted with the surrounding environment without completely being at odds with it. I attempted to soften the contrast by cladding much of the facade in wood and also provide glass allowing vision through the home. This first shot is a front overhead view
