We took a trip to the beach and low and beyond there was an empty life guard tower in the small cove at corona del mar. The sun was just getting ready to set and so I thought I'd give a shot at some cool sun shots. The first turned out pretty good.

I then took it home and stripped away the color by taking the saturation to 0. I then used a "lense filter" though electronic and selected sepia. I turned the sepia up to maximum and really liked what I got. So then i just kind of shaded the corners for some dramatic effect and this is what I got.

It was actually fairly simple, i was surprised but the effect was awesome. I really like how it turned out, in fact I liked ti so much I did it similarly with another shot.
